Fix Attention on Annie Duke

Annie Duke might not have won her first World Series of Poker Bracelet until ‘04 but she is still one of the most feared poker players around the ring games at The Bellagio in vegas. Annie’s longawaited WSOP bracelet came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha high-low.

While players from the "younger generation" of poker run crazy after a large win at the tournament, Annie heads home and becomes "mom" to her 4 children. She was born in New Hampshire into a family of card competitors. If you don’t accept that, check out her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who educated her how to compete in the game.

However, Mrs. Duke is no small change girl and has won her share of hard tables, including knocking out Howard along the way on several occasions. They’re both competitors that have the capability to acquire the large cash and do it with a grin.

Annie is a tough competitor at any poker table because she is a real poker player, but it is a bit more than just being skilled at the game. Mrs. Duke is surprisingly smart and graduated from Columbia University where she double majored in Psychology and English.

When you sit across from her at the poker table you will see Annie Duke is there to compete in the game and she begins "summing" you up from the time you sit down at the game table. If you cannot gamble like a winner, then don’t bother.

Earning over 3 million dollars in tournament play, Mrs. Duke branched out to become a adviser to both UltimateBet.com and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who was looking to sharpen his abilities and develop into a power at the poker table.

You may see her at the Bellagio, you’ll see Annie on TV and you might even play against her in an online poker match, but do not count on an easy win. Unless you are a camp-in-the-making, you’ll not beat her. However, it would be fun to say you sat at the at the table with "The Duke".
