Top Ten tactic, applies to the top 10 pockets hands that you can have. These hands are ace-ace, KK, queen-queen, AK suited, jack-jack, ten-ten, 99, 88, ace-queen same suit, and seven-seven. The strategy indicates that you just play these hands. This will proceed to extremely conservative play, but for an amateur to texas holdem, conservatively is exactly how you will want to play.
It feels like to me that I am constantly seeing new players gambling very aggressively, they’re the earliest players to go all in, and that is generally the incorrect strategy. If these amateur players would hold to a top 10 poker strategy, they would come out much more in the long run. More importantly, this reserved top ten poker tactic will teach the beginning player patience, which is the most critical virtue that a hold’em player can have.
