Newcomer Strategy for Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the western in a fantastic game for beginning level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the house, unlike most other poker games that gamblers bet with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, new players do not need to worry about any other, more knowledgeable gamblers taking their $$$$.

Another Pai Gow benefit is the fairly slow game pace, beginners should be able to take their time and scheme without having to make frenzied selections.

It is also much simpler to wager on for a long time with basically a tiny amount of cash since, to not win, both of your hands has to be lower than both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the dealer receives 7 cards faces hidden.

A five card hand and one 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the casino’s.
