Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the wild west in an excellent game for new gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the dealer, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers play against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginning players do not need to fret about any other, more skillful gamblers winning their money.
Another Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game play, rookies will be able to take their time and plan without having to make quick decisions.
It is also easier to participate in for a long time with just a tiny amount of cash after all, to lose, each of your hands has to be under each of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the dealer is given seven cards faces hidden.
A five card hand and a two card hand need to be made from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
