Caribbean Poker Regulations and Pointers

Web poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier announcing "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the house and of course every one of the other gamblers are given five cards each. After you have seen your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is akin to your beginning bet, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the bet is the showdown. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including a figure equal to the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The casino pays out cash equal to your initial bet and set odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
