Caribbean Poker Protocols and Hints

Online poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the bank instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no bluffing or other kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the croupier broadcasting "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players receive 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s first card, you must in turn make a call wager or accede. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning ante, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your bet goes directly to the casino. After the wager comes the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, with an amount equal to the original bet. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The casino pays out chips equal to your original bet and set expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
